David Peebles MSc, MCT, Dip M, MCIM, FCIBS
 The majority of David’s banking career was spent in the Treasury and Capital Markets field.
In addition to holding Treasury posts with HSBC and Midland Montagu, he also held a number of executive level appointments within the NAB Group.
After an initial role as Treasurer of Clydesdale Bank PLC, he was appointed Head of Financial Markets for the group’s European regional banks, which encompassed responsibility for all treasury activity within Clydesdale, Yorkshire, Northern, and National Irish Banks.
He has also enjoyed two spells with The Royal Bank of Scotland plc where he was Head of Corporate Treasury for Scotland and Director of Corporate Finance.
David has an in depth appreciation of the financial markets including asset & liability management, market, credit and operational risk management. Recent experience has involved providing consultancy to several international banking groups, on strategic, business transformation and regulatory issues.
He is a full-member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, a Chartered Banker and a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
In addition, David is a Non-Executive Director of the Scottish Building Society.
